Opportunities for Giving
The Penn State Annual Fund
Contributions made during the 2003-2004 fiscal year by alumni and friends of Penn State DuBois helped to make possible:
- Increased undergraduate scholarship support from $150,000 to $200,000
- Initiated the first reunion of Pioneer Alumni—those who graduated 50 years or more ago
- Renovated a Swift Building classroom, replacing old desks with seminar-style classroom tables for group learning
- Sponsored international travel for two student organizations, to Spain and to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico
- Provided support for faculty/staff travel and professional development
- Provided support for undergraduate research and professional development
During the 2004-2005 fiscal year, the campus anticipates that the following projects will benefit from funding:
- Creation of labs and purchase of equipment to support the new Information Sciences Technology degree program.
- Development of the newly purchased Monument Hill to include recreation, exercise, and outdoor laboratory areas.
- Acquisition of additional seminar-style classroom tables to facilitate group learning and replace old "side-arm" desks.
- Fund acquisition of appropriate furnishings for Symmco House, the new campus administrative center.
Memorial Endowments
- The Donald T. Hartman Endowed Scholarship, in memory of former CEO Terry Hartman
- The Jacqueline L. Schoch Endowed Scholarship, in honor of former CEO Jackie Schoch
- There are several other endowed or annually funded scholarships in memory of former students, faculty or staff.
