
Student Philanthropy Council Members
Bryan Balaban is a junior psychology major from East Windsor, NJ. He joined Student Philanthropy Council in order to get more involved with Penn State as well inform the student body about the importance philanthropy has on every individual. After graduation, Bryan plans on working towards a career in social work.
Matt Doherty. - A senior psychology major from Cherry Hill, NJ, Sari Fleischman joined the Student Philanthropy Council to teach students about the importance of giving back and to create a forum for students to get more involved in philanthropic work. Sari is also an active member of Lion Support, Delta Delta Delta and supports Dance Marathon.
Brian Gary joined the Student Philanthropy Council to promote giving back to Penn State and help other students gain awareness of the various philanthropic opportunities at the University. A sophomore from Yokosuka, Japan, Brian is majoring in Business Administration.
Megan Geise. - Emily Gordon joined SPC to help students become more aware of philanthropic events on campus and alumni support. A senior from Livingston, NJ, Emily is majoring in Public Relations. Besides SPC, she is an active member of Delta Delta Delta and Penn State Dance Marathon.

A sophomore from Telford, Pa, Geoff Halberstadt joined SPC to promote giving back to Penn State and to raise awareness among students about philanthropy. With a double major in Political Science and Economics, he also serves as the Vice President of the Liberal Arts Undergraduate Council and is an active member of ProVita THON for the Penn State Dance Marathon.
Alicia Harrar, a sophomore from Hatfield, PA, joined SPC as a way to give back to Penn State and become more involved within the University community. Alicia plans to pursue a degree in Marketing.
Cameron Kates- Chelsea Morse is a junior biobehavioral health major from Malvern, PA. Chelsea joined the Student Philanthropy Council to be a part of the strong philanthropic spirit at Penn State and show students how big of an impact alumni can have on the University. She is also active in Habitat for Humanity, the Women's Leadership Initiative, Rescue Childhood Club, and Dance Marathon.
Kaitlyn Kirby joined the Student Philanthropy Council to promote student awareness of the importance of charitable giving and to gain a sense of pride in the University. A sophomore majoring in Finance and International Politics from Wexford, PA, Kaitlyn also participates in Penn State Dance Marathon.
Samantha Miller joined the SPC to spread awareness about the importance of maintaining a lifelong involvement with your University. A junior from Malvern, PA, Samantha is double majoring in political science and philosophy. She is also a member of the UPUA, Lion Ambassadors, Commission for Women, and the College Democrats.
Chelsea Morse, a Biobehavioral Health major from Malvern, PA, joined the Student Philanthropy Council because she believes in the power of philanthropy and wants to teach students about the significance of alumni donations. A Schreyer Honors Scholar, Chelsea is also the fundraising coordinator of Penn State Habitat for Humanity and a member of Invisible Children.
Michael Rolli- A junior life sciences major from Edison, NJ, Katie Sheehan joined the Student Philanthropy Council so she could get more involved at Penn State and help students understand how they can make an impact on the University. Katie is also a member of the Penn State Equestrian Team and the Biology Club.
A junior supply chain and information systems major from Hillsborough, NJ, David Schwartz joined the Student Philanthropy Council to get involved with campus life, make a difference at the University, and network with other students and alumni. In addition to SPC, David is a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and Hillel.

Jamie Urbanowicz is a senior from Edison, New Jersey double-majoring in Public Relations and Communication Arts & Sciences. She joined the Student Philanthropy Council to make the student population aware of the effect that philanthropy has on the student experience and to gain experience for a philanthropy-related career. Jamie is also involved in THON, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, and the College of Communications Peer Mentorship Program.
